The comments are good too as many Bose headphone users will tell you. Once you get used to the noise cancelling thing…

It’s weird when you first try it out because most headphones you can get you hear people talking babies crying and airplanes engines.

Once on a trip from Australia I had a mini panic attack and freak out session when I suddenly realised that I couldn’t hear the engines. Lol…

My Bose headphone tip is when flying remeber that the reason you can’t hear the engines is because you decided to buy Bose noise cancelling headphones. Which leads me to my second Bose headphone tip.

Remember to always relax….

These are my favourite all time headphones I got for usin’ with my Bose V10 and my new PDA although I need to use an adapter for them with the PDA, the sound quality is totally out of this world. I love the fact that they cancel out the noise as it makes listening on a bus or train an altogether more pleasurable experience. I’d be especially careful using them out walking as they really do cancel outside noise so you could potentially not notice that truck heading your way. Other than that though no other warnings for this awesome set of phones!

I’m a language learner and long haul flights are like my “special time” and withBose headphones on there’s no interuptions not even those engines… Blissful. Mail this post

Will a earphone 3.5mm extension cable (5m) effect sound quality?

I am using $220 bose headphones so i was wondering if this extension will lower the sound quality

Yes, The longer the cable, the higher the impedance the cable will cause.

That’s why in Home Theatre, speaker cables come in different gauges – the thicker ones are for longer distances and or more power being sent. Make no mistake, your headphone wires are sending both signal and POWER. It is just not as much power as HT wires… but nevertheless it does make some difference.

But will this effect your sound quality??

Probably a little bit @ 5m… the little bit – you won’t be able to tell the difference though. Thats why I recommend the best cable available.

You could just try it out. If you’re not happy with it, just get a thicker guage cable – they are available for headphone applications.

One of the things I like about this particular cable is that there’s pretty much no  difference at all. If you need to extend the cable you could use the

wireless headphones which are a better option as far as I’m concerned. Here’s a link so you can take a look at them.

These ones are the super expensive sennhieser (I hope thats how you spell it!!!)

Why bother with cable at all?

m This particular set is exactly thre same price and although they are quite expensive they are always, being Bose gonna deliver the best quality sound and give a clear output. This is exeptionally important as it means you can turn the volume down and still hear. Having a hearing problem I find that if I use cheap heaphones I end up losing out on the music I’m listening to.

This set goes around the ear completely and will allow you to enjoy your music in comfort. Although my own headphones are getting on a bit now the sound is still as good as it always was and I couldn’t be happier with the result.
