Bose Lifestyle V10 Home Theater

Bose Lifestyle V10 is not the best Bose Home Theater System by Bose.

It’s just the one that I bought.

A lot of readers just presume that because I write about the V10 more than any of the others it’s because it’s the best or the most expensive or whatever.

That just isn’t true.

It’s the one I own and the only one that I’m truly qualified to write about here on the blog.

Sure there are other systems in the Bose camp, I take your point.

If you read the blog you’ll see in an earlier post I mention several of them, like the  Bose 38 Lifestyle for example, which is way more expensive and out of my league at the moment.

(One day it’ll be mine) and even the Bose SoundDock Series II Digital Music System for iPod (Silver) which you see in the picture below.

Don’t presume if I have not mentioned a particual system from the Bose catalogue that I don’t like it or that it’s not as good as the others. The Ipod Dock above is very expensive and houses some of the best technology in audio. You just plug in your Ipod and suddenly it’s loud enough to run your own disco (givin’ away my age with the word Disco, right?) but it gets a mention because I’ve heard it and want it myself.

I hope that clears this up for you anyway.

The Bose Lifestyle V10 is not the best Bose system out there.

It’s just the best system in it’s price range as far as I’m concerned. If I’d had more money at the time of purchase, I’d have spent more money and got myself the best Bose Home theater I could afford at the time. For me that was a V10 of course. pictured below.

It’ll set you back a pretty penny but it does everything and I mean everything you could eevr need or want and it does it with pure unadulterated excellence.

If had to do it again I’d be going for this piece of kit check it out… Beautiful or what? As far as I’m concerned… This is the Best Bose Home Theater

One of the things that I really love about my own Bose v10 is the fact that it’s so compact.

It can sit unnoticed but when you crank it up it can really kick butt!

I’m a John Coltrane fan and love Joni Mitchell too and when you’re listening to something like Hejira for example you really want to hear every single nuance. It really allows you to hear every detail of Jacko Pastorius’ bass guitar whilst allowing the top end of Joni’s voice to come through.

My old system was an Akia and I thought it was good, but when I got my V10 I was hearing stuff in the music that I hadn’t even realised was there.

The  Bose v10 is expensive I’ll give you that, but as far as I’m concerned well worth the cash just to hear those beautiful subtle sounds.

If you want to Buy a Bose lifestyle V10 Home Theater system you’re probably thinking  that the best one is the Bose lifestyle v10 home theater system, since that is the one I keep talking about.

That is not the case..

There are other bose systems which are better, and you can See Bose systems here, it’s just that my own personal experience is with the lifestyle v10

I happen to think it’s an amazing system, and it sounds amazing… The thing with Bose I know most people really like is it’s size and it’s connect abilty.

Yes, I used two words there…  connect and abilty.

There are lots of sytems which are around the same price, Most of them are.. lets say “chunky” and take up loads of room, and the ones I’d seen didn’t really sound like they had the same quality.

It’s not like that when you’re buying a pentax camera, Bose is at the top of thier game right now… Some of the lenses out there are actually better than a Pentax Camera lens for example. You need to stick with all of the bose components, as there are no shortcuts with Bose. You can buy a Pentax K-7 Body and build on it, whereas adding anything non bose is counter productive. Bose is simply that much better than nearly everything else out unless you wanna spend thousands more, and I mean thousands.

Anyway, back to the point.

I took a piece of music I knew backward and inside out, into the store, (John Coltrane… if you must know) and I asked them to play it for me, I even tried out the headphones that came with the available systems, just to compare

(that’s what you call sound advice…)

and there wasn’t one that sounded even close to the lifestyle V10

Most of them, even the really expensive ones, fail to do what the Bose system does which is give you direct connections for virtually any kind of input source currently available.

What I’m saying is the lifestyle V10 is perhaps not The best Home theater system in the world. I’m not claiming to know everything like other reviewers would do.

If you want something that competes with the bose home theater, you may even get some cheaper, I don’t know every possible alternative.

I suppose I should be out researching the issue… I got my system because a friend had one.. and my choice was based on going around shops (Yes i do things in the real world too!) and listening to the systems, and The Lifestyle V10 just sounded better to me and fitted in better for me.

I wanted to be able to connect everything together without having a millions adapters and wires everywhere.

The lifestyle V10 does eactly that, you can hook it up to whatever you like. It’s sure to have a built in socket to suit… thats what I call connect ability!

I wanted one that would allow me to really hear every last detail of John Coltranes saxophone so that I could just absorb it and that’s where Bose Lifestyle V10 Home Theater System really shows it’s class.

As someone who has frequently used noise canceling headphones onflight, I truly attest to the claim that they can indeed make your flying experience a lot more welcoming.

At least for now, I don’t have to live with the incessant hissing from the drone of the aircraft engine, the humming of the fans or other irritating noises coming from the surroundings while I laze in my economy seat.

It seemed incredible but this is actually made possible by simple audio technology. That will in turn help you narrow down to the brands and models to review.

For example, if your budget is about $150, you may want to consider only brands like Sennheiser which has an excellent series of noise canceling at that price. Brands like Bose would be of a less likely consideration since they would probably cost you much more than that.

What good is a pair of noise canceling headphones if it doesn’t perform well in that department? You might as well get use a conventional set of headphones! At first glance, these seemed to be minor considerations. But for road warriors, this can matter a lot since every inch of space counts in their luggage.
