Shopping over at Amazon.com for Other Bose Lifestyle v10 home theater system products, there’s always a list of the things other people buy if you check on down the page.

This is partcularly useful for a number of reasons.

Firstly it lets you know about items that perhaps you hadn’t though about.

Take the Bose UFS-20 Universal Floor Stands (pair) – Black As an example…

It’s one thing having the system but you’re also going to want to place your speakers in the optimum position.

Now it’s fair to say that the lifestyle range of systems have an option in the audio settings which can read the size and shape of the room you’re in and set the sound specially for that and that it can do this automatically for you.

The thing is that you’ll always get the very best results even with that super clever bose technology, if the speakers are placed at a good height and if they’re spaced around the room and pointing directly at “your favourite chair” (not someone elses…) etc…

It’s common that extra speaker stands are going to be a good option.

There are wall mounted brackets such as the Bose UB-20B Wall/Ceiling Bracket (each) – BLACK which gives you the versatility and allows you to hide the speakers wherever you like. The wall mounted brackets are my choice even though they are cheaper than the floor stands though, because I like having the floor space clear.

Here’s why…

I discovered about three months after getting my unit that floor stands for speakers don’t “blend” well with floor stands in Hatha based Yoga….

Bose lifestyle 18 Remote

Here’s the Bose lifestyle 18 remote is perfect for anyone who’s had the misfortune of jumping on thier old remote.

It’s identical to the one you got in the first place and you may be able to get a new one for even less than you’d pay for a second hand unit!

Just in case you need to know some details, here they are…

This is for bose lifestyle 18, 28 and 35 (series 2, 3 and 4) all these series 2,3 and 4 DVD players have white back input panel-Your DVD player must say AV18. it is not compatible with series 1- AV28 (with black back input panel)

Over at Amazon this isn’t the only remote you can get, but if you want to buy a bose lifestyle 18 remote specifically you’re better with the real thing as it syncronizes with your unit immediately with no problems. Put the batteries in and off you go.

I have no trouble although I do fancy an upgrade at some point, I can’t see any reason to do it just yet. If you own a V18 then this is what you’re looking for. Bose 38 lifestyle or to give it it’s full title Bose Lifestyle 38 Series IV Home Entertainment System is not one of the cheapest Home theater systems on the market but it is one of the best.

Built by Bose to fully integrate, this Home theater system will impress just about anyone. You get a system that is going to do just about anything. It’ll link up to all of you items at home and transform the quality of sound that you get in a way that must be experienced to be believed.

I have the Bose Lifestyle V10 and it’s incredible so I’m talking from my own experience on this one. It’s worth going over to amazon to check out what other users say about it if you want to make a decision based on the best info you can find.

Bose Lifestyle 38 Series IV Home Entertainment System

If you have an Iphone of course or an Ipod then you might also want to think about using a Dock or Docking sytem which would lower the overall cost of getting the quality of sound you’re after.

The one that I really want to get myself  is the one that I consider to be perhaps the Best Ipod docking system

m on the planet. You’re able to get the quality of Bose sound systems in something that can be taken on the road with you wherever you go and the loss of sound quality is pretty much unnoticable.

I’ll be getting a Sound dock myself once I can afford it as a Yoga teacher, it’s really nice to be able to play a little background music in class and the Sound Dock is the answer.

I honestly didn’t even know the Bose t20 existed… Obviously that means that I’m not the best source of information for it. (you got me!)

I love my system even though I’ve only got the Bose v10 myself…

It does everything I’ve ever needed it to do being a complete hHome Theater system, so I’m not exactly sure that there’s any reason to buy bigger or better than the one I have.

That said, you can’t go far wrong with the Bose system since it’s usually smaller than the other systems on the market. I want to get the V48 one day… I dunno why.

I just WANT IT now…

Does anyone know a good shrink? I think I’ve become a Bose addict….

Bose vcs-10 Center speaker

Bose VCS-10 Center Channel – Speaker, home theater sound for component systems – Black

This is the center speaker for the surround sound system and can be added to any system you have although if you already have the Bose surround sound system then this is the best option for you.

If you’re looking to get the entire speaker system then you might be better getting the complete package below and using that instead. A set of Bose speakers will be integrated with no hassle trying to get the best balance and sound from the system.

Building your own system is a great idea if you know the market well enough, but it’s much better tohave items that are designed to work together.

That said you do get an awesome center speaker with the Bose vcs-10 my choice would be the vcs-30 which will make any system sound superb.

This particular set of speakers are excellent for upgrading or completing any system. I’m using the Bose V10

m which is a full set up and is the whole deal odne for you by bose rather than a system I made out of bits and pieces. I tried doing that last time I bought audio equipment and found it hard to get the best out of my gear. You can’t beat a completed package built to work as a single unit. If you want a complete set of speakers then go take a look at the reviews this set get’s and you’ll see what i mean. It’s good!

Hey guys. ive had this microphone since last christmas and for 5$, it worked until a few weeks ago when the sound started changing by itself and really staticy. i want a new mic and i found this one by logitech.

Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 with 7.1 Surround Sound

it has pretty good reviews and its mostly for gaming and maybe talking to cousin or something. i like desktop mics because with headsets, i like using my own bose speakers with headphones and then a desktop mic. if i get a headset, then you gotta use ur onboard sound and i dont like that. so if any1 can say they like that mic or can refer a non headset (desktop) mic that would rock!

p.s. nothing to expensive max maybe 30-40$

These I’d recommend to just about anyone due to the sheer quality you’re getting. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that Bose are one of the top players on the market for this sort of headphone and they also are well known for putting a lot of technology into minimising the size of thier products. Given that the  Bose Home Theater System is so well integrated it seems unlikely that you’ll build one as good especially with the issue of space saving and the way bose use less connecting wires for the components.

The truth is that everything when it comes to building a home theater depends entirely upon your personal preferences and the overall system capabilities you wish to build into your system.

Take Blue Ray for example there are connection issues there if you build your own and the quality of the screen etc really matters.. You could buy the components and discover that it really isn’t good enough to support the Blue Ray system.

No such problems when you buy a Bose Home Theater.

To get the greatest benefit from your speakers you will need a good quality receiver, in order to process the sounds and present them in the best possible light. The receiver basically receives information from all manner of devices and sends the signal where you tell it to go. Your receiver is one place that most people tend to spend a good portion of their budget and with good reason.

This is included in the Bose Home Theater System and is by far one of the most important components and one that many people do not already own. Your DVD/DVR is another thing that can impact your viewing experience. Think top quality Blue Ray with the Bose Home Theater.

As I already pointed out, you shouldn’t opt for a high definition DVD or DVR or Blue Ray, unless you have a high definition television and only then if you plan to purchase high definition DVDs and Blue Ray Disc’s rather than the regular DVDs you will find on the market at the moment.

That will only result in a waste of your cash while the technology is new.

Instead, wait a year or two until the prices drop and upgrade slowly rather than buying the top of the line most expensive component that the remainder of your system cannot keep up with, or just buy a complete solution and buy a Bose Home Theater.

While this is by no means a detailed guide, you might realise that it’s best to buy a system which is integrated. I hope that this provides a good start for you in considering the problems involved in building your own.

Only you can set your budget and decide how much you are willing to spend on each individual component. My best advice is to start with a receiver if you must and build your system one component at a time around your receiver.

The easy way is to spend that little bit extra on a system that has been designed by experts to deal with everything that modern technology will throw at it like the Bose Home Theater. It’s so compact and easy to set up and will actually tweak itself automatically to suit any room you put it in.
